Cyberagent - Project concept
Background to the projectIn response to the European Green Deal's call for a sustainable, digital Europe, CyberAgent is committed to strengthening the backbone of the European economy - SMEs. Over 90% of all businesses are SMEs, and they are vulnerable to cyber threats. CyberAgent's mission is clear: to empower these businesses by turning their employees into "SMEs' Cybersecurity Change Agents". By integrating technical, analytical and soft skills, CyberAgent not only fills the skills gap, but also creates a diverse and resilient digital workforce. In the face of increasing cyber challenges, CyberAgent is an important initiative to protect small and medium-sized enterprises and create a future-oriented European economy.
The CyberAgent project, funded by Erasmus , promotes cooperation between higher education institutions, vocational training providers and SMEs to exchange best practices in cybersecurity and improve employability, cyber resilience and the cybersecurity culture of organisations. Objectives of the projectThe objective of the CyberAgent project is to create a platform where the target group can acquire sustainable knowledge and competences in cybersecurity and entrepreneurship. The project will inspire, empower, upskill, retrain and engage SME employees to take on the role of Cyber Security Change Agents and involve more women in the IT sector. It will facilitate cooperation between higher education institutions, vocational training institutions and SMEs, and act as a platform for the exchange of best practices in cybersecurity and the labour market. In addition, it will improve the employability of the target groups, help SMEs build their cyber resilience, preserve their reputation and competitiveness, and increase the maturity and culture of the organisation for cybersecurity.
